- How mantra and mediation facilitates dietary and nutritional goals
Counselling in weight loss involves a personalized and systematic plan to control the factors that drive overeating or eating the wrong foods. The daily consequential battles faced in protecting our health not only CAN be won, but can be reduced in frequency if not eliminated. Overcoming the struggle between I want and shouldn’t have includes recognizing why popular diets are short lived, and learning the distinctive patterns that hijack our self-control. Understanding why certain foods only make us want to eat more is based on the theory of Dr. David Kessler, author of the book, The End of Overeating. Some of the topics that are addressed and applied are:
- The food industry
- Conditioned hyper eating
- Negative and positive feelings about eating
- Treatment and revesrsing the overeating habit
- The framework of food rehabilitation
